We love to get to know the people behind the businesses here at The Businesses Community Enfield!
Kate Kardooni accepted our challenge of “5 Questions We Asked An Enfield Business” so we can get to know her better…
What made you start your own business?
I was made redundant from my Finance role in the City. I wanted to get some more balance back in my life, and felt that starting my own business would allow this to happen more easily. I’d loved the informal coaching I’d done previously too, and wanted to qualify in that business discipline at that point, and started doing that more!
What does your business offer its customers?
My business is a portfolio covering coaching and accounting services. On the coaching side, I offer programmes focussing on performance, career transition, career breaks. I am a qualified Myers Briggs practitioner which is a personality preference type indicator tool. On the accounting side, I am a QuickBooks proadvisor and a Practising accountant so offer bookkeeping, payroll and year end accounts preparation.
What kind of customers are you looking for?
On the Coaching side, I’m looking for customers who want to make a change to their lives and want to work with someone to achieve their future goals. On the accounting side, it’s new small local businesses starting out on their financial journey.
What’s the toughest part of running your own business?
Working on my own at home a lot; I like having interaction with people, so that’s why I like being a member of Enfield Businesses as I have a “virtual team” around me!
What piece of advice could you give to another business owner?
Network, and don’t be afraid to ask people for help!
