Skydive in aid of Brain Cancer Research

Posted on by Liz Sorton of Youth Coach

I am celebrating a milestone birthday in 2019 with a tandem skydive for a charity close to my heart, In Sue’s Name.

I am 1 of 51 tandem jumpers that day as it would have been Sue’s 51st birthday that year.

I know David Taylor well as we are both very active on the North London networking circuit.

In Sue’s Name is a charity that David set up in memory of Sue, his daughter, who died 7 years ago from Brain Tumours. The charity raise money for research into Brain Tumours as more young people under 40 die from this disease than any other type of cancer.

I have managed to overcome with E.F.T my massive fear of heights. Went to Go Ape on 16/2/2019 and had such a great time.

Any NCS The Challenge young people or staff that have worked with me know that this was a real fear. However I have pushed myself through abseiling and rock climbing as a member of summer camp staff x5 times over the last 5 years, with all their support cheering me on and celebrating when I complete the task.

I have managed to overcome my fear of heights so that I can enjoy the amazing experience whilst raising lots of sponsorship money for the charity.

Thank you for your donations and cheering me on as the day get closer …
